hAvE yOuRseLf a mErRy LiTtLe XmAs

"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,Jack Frost nipping at your nose,Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,And folks dressed up like Eskimos",with blankets all over me, i was awakened by these lines, which suddenly made me realize that Christmas is just a few days away.
Christmas... truly,is one of the most celebrated holidays, simply because it is the season of loving and sharing. And i would have to admit that this has always been my favorite season, and i simply love everything about it. From the different decorations around down to the cooking of Christmas delicacies all around the corner.
I simply love waking up in the morning with Xmas songs all around the corner of my room, then the feeling of the touch of the cold air from around the corner, ofcourse i love attending the traditional "simbang gabi" which will finally lead to eating different Xmas delicacies like tha famous puto bungbong, bibingka, tupig and many other yummylicious food.
But Christmas is not just simply about this stuffs. Christmas will never be Christmas if without the spirit of loving and sharing. for it is in this season that people are good to everyone, also it is in this season that people are giving time to their love ones, and ofcourse it is in this season that people are trying to forgive and forget. Mushy as it may sound, but this truly is its purpose.
I love this season simply because it gives both inner and outer happiness.
Chrismas is joy itself, just find time to see and feel it
Merry Xmas to all........mwaaaaa.

THE 2006 CULTURAL COMPETITIONS

Deinitely, this year is a nice start for the College of Arts and Sciences. You may ask me why, I say so. Did you watch the Cultural Competitions? If yes, then you'll know the answer I am saying.
The recently concluded Cultural Competitions gave way for the CAS students to shine the crowd. This was the time when they have earned awards in different category, such as the Choir Festival and the Battle of the Bands.
The efforts exerted by the CAS students who participated the Choir Competitions were worthy for they were able to represent the college with a spark. For what reason? They just won or the 1st Runner-up Awards. Not only that, they were even commended by the different spectators in the venue.
They are very nice when they gave their own rendition of the song, "So Happy Together". I did not know that the song could be still sang in a different way. I did not know that enough practice will lead to a better and newer version of the song.
Meanwhile, on the Battle of the Bands, the energy of the CAS students was very outstanding. They did not only win the special award for the Best Fast Choice of Song, they also were awarded as the Best Band or the year.
I think they have won the judges' nod when they gave their own rendition of the song..."Incomplete" and gave their full and intense version of "Change the World".
I hope that by next year CAS would still be having these kinds of awards. I hope CAS will continue shining, glowing and showing to the whole university its bright and sparkling voice.
